Hi Everyone! Can you believe it? We finally got another cd together and in the mail!!! We have added pictures that start back in South Africa at Christmas time and ends in Trinidad and Tobago. We haven't taken too many pictures in Chagaramas. It's not a very interesting place. A bunch of boatyards and basically just a place to haul out and leave the boat for the hurricane season. We have met a few people here who are going on to Venezuela, as we are, but everyone's busy trying to get work done and so there's not too much socializing going on. Or rather, just enough. We do have wifi and showers and a laundromat available, so we're not suffering too much. We really can't wait to get a move on cause it's way too much like civilization!
In Venezuela we'll finally be able to use some of that Spanish we studied up on. Can't remember too much, but we have a couple of books with us and we're hoping that it will come back easily. One thing very nice is that the price for a gallon of diesel is only $1.00 U.S. in T & T !!! The cost of food, on the other hand, is very high. We broke down and bought some iceberg lettuce yesterday and when we read the label learned it came from Salinas, CA. That explains the high prices. We've heard that food costs will be much lower in Venezuela as well as rum and beer prices too! We'll wait and see.
Anytime we hear about a place in advance from more than one person it's like they're talking about different places. One man's paradise is another's hell. The prices are high, the prices are low. The people are friendly, the people are rude. The scenery is awesome, the scenery is boring. Although we have noticed that some people ALWAYS have troubles and some people ALWAYS have a great time. Hmmmm. We'll go with the second option!
Okay then, guess we better go and get this in the mail. Hope you're all happy, healthy and having a good time. Relax everyone and enjoy yourselves, we'll be home before you know it!

Take Care,
El Dos Strollers
